The name originates from a lively debate during which Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel was declared by peers to be a "renegade," a title that he proudly hung on to. This series explores forgotten techniques as well as Ferrand's team intensive research in uncovering these innovative methods.

Take our latest edition Renegade n°3, an eau-de-vie de vin made of 100% Grande Champagne Premier Cru de Cognac Vintage 2011 then matured in old barrels that have contained Plantation Rum from the storied Long Pond Distillery in Jamaica. This delicious creation is a tribute to old master blenders who would go to the harbor in Bordeaux to collect rum barrels as they arrived from the Caribbean.
